PHP Application Developer

You will work closely with our team of developers and product managers to deliver cutting-edge solutions that meet our clients' needs.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and maintain robust, scalable, high-quality software for our technology platform and full suite of products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and bring online new features.
  • Troubleshoot, test, and maintain the core product software to ensure strong optimization and functionality.
  • Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle.
  • Develop and deploy new features to facilitate related procedures and tools if necessary.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Information Systems or a related subject
  • Proven software development experience in PHP.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, etc.
  • Good knowledge of relational databases, version control tools, and developing web services.
  • Ability to provide technical/software support to end users
  • Passion for best design and coding practices and a desire to develop new bold ideas.
  • 2-5 years demonstrable work experience with developing business processes & workflows

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with SQL databases and their declarative query languages.
  • Experience in Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with code/process documentation
  • Can thrive in a rapidly changing, multi-tasking environment
  • Has good interpersonal/communication skills for interacting with agents,
    team members & policyholders

This is an in-office position with the possibility of a hybrid remote/in-office schedule after initial training period, therefore the applicant must live within commuting distance of our Millville office.
